Mike started racing way back in 1973 in a Modsports MG Midget and was
immediately successful notching up many class wins before a break from
1975 to 1978. Returning to Modsports in the highly developed
Heatherborne MG Midget with teammate Pete Richings, many wins and lap
records followed before the team progressed to the Clubmans category
with a Mallock Mk20b and then a Phantom P82, run with support from
engineering firms Schuler Presses and BWP Cables. Many race wins, lap
records and three National Championships were secured in the ensuing
years before the team progressed to the prestigious Formula 3 series in
Class B with a Ralt RT30 supported by ACCO Cable Controls.
Mike retired from racing in 1987 to concentrate on family and career before
returning 20 years later with a 997GT3 Cup with which he joined forces
with the successful UK team In2Racing and ran in Belcar, ADAC Masters
in Germany and in various UK series with some success. 2008 has seen
the team build on this.
A resident of Florida, Mike also has a base in the UK and hopes to continue racing for many successful years to come.
